Having three day weekends is going to work out nicely. This first one was just a warm up...once I am used to the scale, I plan to ramp up my program of -putting myself in the range of other actual human people in hopes that I can communicate with one or more of them-. I drive past this sign almost everyday, so finally I had to take a picture of it. It has all kinds of win.     It thrills me to no end that I can sit out here in the workshop and get a wireless signal. The light is EXCELLENT in here compared to inside the hut. Also, I can breath out here...I don't have to deal with a zillion tons of rancid cigarette particulate poisoning me constantly, along with the suffocating heat and dry air. I don't think I have ever been so happy to see rain. First off, I love rain, but even more than that, we NEED it so bad in north Georgia. It just doesn't feel right to go for such long periods of time without rainfall. As far as I can recollect, there has been a drought condition almost every summer since I moved here. HERES WHY:

The Micheal Vick controversy continues. Today was the first day of Atlanta Falcons training camp here in beautiful sunny Flowery Branch. Of course there were protesters a'plenty outside the facility gates, but the real winner was this plane which circled the camp for a while during practice.

  On the way home from school today I stopped at the Atlanta Falcons training facility to check out the scene of the anti Mike Vick PETA protest. Apparantly, there is a large dog who lives in the vicinity of my First Strike geocache. I started to get notes about him in the cache log in July, and just got another one about a week ago. He seems to be a pretty scary dog. At first I thought that some cachers had just happened to run into a stray that had taken up camp near the cache for a minute ( Read more... )
